Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Tablevault ("we", "us") covering your use of the Tablevault website and service at tablevault.co (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

1. What the Service does

The Service reads data from a third-party application (currently Airtable) using credentials you provide, and produces copies of that data as downloadable archives. The free export tool produces a single archive of one base on request. Paid plans, when available, run exports on a schedule and retain them for a period.

The Service only reads from your third-party account. It never creates, changes, or deletes anything there.

2. Your credentials and your data

You provide a personal access token or similar credential so the Service can read your data. You are responsible for creating that credential with read-only permissions limited to the data you want exported, and you may revoke it at any time in the third-party application.

For the free export tool, we store the token encrypted only for the duration of the export and delete it when the export finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. Unconfirmed export requests are deleted automatically, together with their tokens, when the confirmation link expires.

The data we copy belongs to you. We do not use it for any purpose other than producing your archives, and we do not share it with anyone. Free export archives are deleted 72 hours after they are created.

3. Acceptable use

You may only use the Service with accounts and data you are authorised to access, and in compliance with the third-party application's terms of service and API terms. You may not use the Service to exceed rate or usage limits imposed on your third-party account, to interfere with the Service, or to attempt to access other users' data. We may suspend or refuse service to protect the Service or other users.

4. Free tool limits

The free export tool is offered without charge and subject to limits, including a maximum total size of attachments per export and one base per export. Exports that exceed a limit are delivered with the limit applied and a note explaining what was omitted. We may change the limits at any time.

5. Accounts

Confirming your email in the free export tool creates an account identified by that email address, without a password. Links sent to that address sign you in. Keep your inbox secure; anyone with access to it can access your exports. You can set a password from the login page at any time, and you can delete your account from the profile page, which deletes your connections, bases, and export records.

6. Paid plans

Paid plans are not yet available. Indicating interest in a plan does not create a subscription and nothing is charged. When paid plans launch, their prices, billing terms, and cancellation terms will be shown before you subscribe, and these terms will be updated.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The Service depends on third-party APIs whose availability and behaviour we do not control. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce a paid plan.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. An export is a copy taken at a moment in time; we do not warrant that it is complete or suitable for restoring your data, and you should verify any archive you intend to rely on.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms. Sections 8 and 9 survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email to account holders before they take effect.
